friendship desert

Last night was rather a lovely time.
I got chance to catch up with some old friends of mine
who live just north of here in a quieter part of the coast.
Peter,my host, calls it camel shit road.

Lotta her husband and her boy robin live in a lovely small house
alongside a few other refugees who turned up last night.
It was so nice to be in there cosy little house and spend time with like minded folk
on the road. (although it happens by chance each day it's always nice when you have known folk
for some time and they meet you on the road.)

We spent a few hrs just talking and catching up and laughing at
the cat and dogs in their small oasis by the sea.

Lotta and her friend Linda are free divers and they teach here
when they aren't competing.

have a look. I'm not sure what the discipline is but Lotta
holds various medals and records for apnea.

so after i had eaten My fill and talked till late
i blasted back to the front of dahab to watch the stars and look to the west.

i hope it stops snowing in Jordan as i don't really do snow in deserts.

much more soon.
