Today was rather odd. I took a walk down wind with some fellow travellers to a place
just south of here. It used to just have the Hilton on the land but now its a mecca for the sun seeking rich of
Europe. No sooner had we walked off the public beach and onto the strip than a security guard wanted to frisk me and ask me my room number. I sweet talked him into letting me through and we all walked off into the rich paradise
of topless Russians and Germans who inhabit the sanitized land of the rich and precluded. OH yes it's always amazing to see so much money and the way that they use it. Getting fleeced and being held hostage in this environment is par for the course as the outside is full of the great unwashed like me and there's always the chance that you're conscience might kick in. Strange for me to sit and watch these folk who inhabit this world. As many of you know i am broke nowadays so to feel like an cheap invader is rather fun.
It's hard to believe how many Russians there are here.
All of them dressed in the what the magazines define as western style but not an ounce of style between them.
Maybe it's me as I enjoy observing the redisculosity of the rich and the poor
both opposites of the same coin. I marvel at how sheltered from the realities of Egypt they are.
Don't get me wrong I am a very privileged person but i at least try to interact with the realities of the third world.
It seems that the rich have so many fortunate double standards that allow movement and oblivion to reign in their land.
I better stop rambling as i am sure that it's going off message.
Travel all be merry what ever end of the economic spectrum you are from.
Just spare a though for the realities of the folk whose land we walk on.
More soon
