Arabia

I'm in this unique position of being able to
watch Arabia change at a massive rate.
Picture this; they still turn the music from all the tacky bars here
off so that the folk can here the mosques call to prayer.
There aren't many devout folk here but the few there are
drop a lot and kneel down and start praying to mecca.
I watched one guy who was praying and his mobile went off.
He stops his prayer, gets out his cell and then reads his text message.
sends a small one back and the carries on.
They used to say that Istanbul is where east meets west
but now its all over us and the ancient ways will find it very hard
to survive when Maya is all around us.
